Australian-born singer-songwriter Chiara Hunter is one of those artists who seems to have fallen from the sky fully-formed and hyper-aware of the type of music she wants to create and the look she wants to project. Her debut tune 'Strange Relationships' set the tone nicely, a well-knit blend of cooling synthpop and danceable funk with a dramatic Marina & the Diamonds-y presence; second cut 'War' is a worthy successor. Featuring the precise flow of rapper Gifted Gab, 'War' takes the fizzing electronics that drew us in on 'Strange Relationships' and pumps them up further, with strobing synth hooks and twisted basslines lurching from side to side, from start to finish.
